Port Gamble Investigation
May 16 2009
The charm and hospitality of Port Gamble will take you back to a day when life seemed a little friendlier. A simple hello or thank you meant more than just words and people really wanted to have a meaningful conversation.
When we approached Port Gamble with the idea of investigating the paranormal we were met with open arm from Shana. It did stop there, as we rolled into town we were greeted by businesses owners that just wanted to say hi, and tell us there paranormal stories of what they have seen. As luck would have it the espresso shop owner stopped by with a large container of free coffee and cups for us. As the sun started to set the investigation was on its way to a great start.
We investigated the Post Office building that has the theater on the top floor and the morgue in the basement.  The Ames house and the Port Gamble Cemetery. The investigation started around 10:00pm and finished at 4:45am.
Throughout the night our investigators had countless personal experiences in the Ames House and the basement of the Post Office. The sounds of footsteps inside the Ames house up and down the stairs and movement of shadows in the Post Office basement were ongoing most of the night. Although as in most cases as fast as it started it stopped as the sun started to rise.
We never caught anything paranormal on our video camera, but we did capture some audio on two voice recorders.
The ghosts of Port Gamble are very much alive, and as friendly as the living people that work and live there.

NWPIA is a paranormal research and investigation team serving the Pacific Northwest. Using both experimental and proven methods for collecting evidence of the paranormal, we work to help people understand the phenomenon that they are experiencing. Everything that we do is free of charge, and completely confidential. Our goals are to search, learn, document, share what we have learned, and to hopefully someday understand the rules of engagement between the material world and the unseen.
